Last Updated: January 2026 | Jurisdiction: England & Wales
1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Career Calibre ("Company," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using our AI-powered career management platform (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DISCLAIMER (CRITICAL)
2.1 Nature of Service: We utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) to draft and optimize career documents. You acknowledge that AI is probabilistic and may generate content that is factually incorrect, nonsensical, or irrelevant ("Hallucinations").
2.2 User Responsibility: You are the sole and final editor of all documents. You are responsible for verifying the factual accuracy of all output (including employment dates, skills, and certifications).
2.3 Liability: Career Calibre expressly disclaims liability for any rejected job applications, loss of employment, or allegations of fraud resulting from your use of unverified AI-generated content. We provide a drafting tool; we do not guarantee job offers.
3. SUBSCRIPTIONS & CANCELLATION
3.1 Fees: Services are billed on a recurring monthly subscription basis (Basic: £5/mo, Premium: £10/mo) via Stripe.
3.2 Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Account Dashboard. You will retain access until the end of your current billing cycle.
3.3 Waiver of Cooling-Off Period: By creating an account and accessing the Service, you request immediate performance of the contract and expressly waive your right to the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
4. USER CONDUCT & IP
4.1 Ownership: You retain ownership of your personal data ("Input"). We own the platform, code, and AI methodology.
4.2 License: You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use your Input solely to provide the Service to you.
4.3 Prohibited Acts: You must not use the Service to generate fraudulent documents, impersonate others, or reverse-engineer our software.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of profit/opportunity).
- Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
6. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
